Plug time!
I’d be remiss if I didn’t plug my pals’ projects, although they have nothing to do with Japan, nor losers. A mate of mine just released his first ever game. It’s an iPhone/iPod Touch app called Bailout America. It is essentially Lemmings, but instead of saving small furry creatures, you have to clear the path for US tax dollars as they march towards the gaping maw of a corporate Fat Cat. Quite fun, and has background art by David Hellman, who worked on Braid. If you have an iPhone/iPod Touch, you can get it at the iTunes store here.

For those of you with a Wii, check out Groovin’ Blocks. This also is a puzzle game, not unlike Lumines. The player has to drop falling blocks onto the playing field in time to the music. The soundtrack was done by my favorite electronic music band, Mercer Friendly. It has been available through WiiWare in the US for awhile now. Europe will hopefully get it soon!
